Beginning with a Story – When Love Faced Thorns
Have you ever felt that you truly love someone, but circumstances prevent you from uniting?
I encountered a similar incident. A young man came to my door, his face tired but a spark of hope in his eyes. Dua To Remove Love Obstacles
He said, “Maulana Sahib, I want to marry her, but my family isn’t agreeing. There’s always some obstacle.”
I looked at him carefully. His tone was filled with pain, but also conviction. I asked, “Have you ever prayed with a true heart?”
He said, “I did… but perhaps not properly.”
I smiled and said, “That’s my mistake, son. Prayers should come from the heart, not from the tongue.”
Why Do Obstacles Come to Love?
Difficulties in love come in many forms:
- Sometimes it’s family’s refusal,
- Sometimes the evil eye of a third party,
- Sometimes a misunderstanding in the relationship,
- Or the test of time.
People think that if love is true, everything will fall into place. But the truth is—to maintain love, patience, faith, and dua are all required.
Maulana Zabid Khokhar’s Experience
In the past 20 years, I’ve seen many cases where people are heartbroken by love. Some came crying, some left smiling.
Only one thing made the difference—faith and consistent dua.
Once, a girl came and said, “Maulana ji, I did everything, but nothing worked.“

I said, “Daughter, did you trust yourself or Allah?”
She fell silent.
I shared a simple dua with her and said, “Ask from your heart, like a child asks its mother.”
Three weeks later, the same girl came, her eyes shining. She said, “Maulana ji, everything is fine now.”
That is, when intentions are clear and trust is complete, difficulties automatically leave the way.
Dua to Remove Obstacles in Love
If your relationship isn’t progressing, things have stalled for some reason, or someone has distanced themselves from you, this dua is considered effective:
“Allahumma allif baina quloobina wa aslih zāta bainina wahdina subul as-salām.”
Meaning:
“O Allah, create love in our hearts, remove misunderstandings between us, and guide us on the path of truth and safety.”
How to Recite:
- Recite this prayer three times after every prayer.
- When praying, mention the other person’s name and ask Allah for unity.
- Have a clear intention – not to force anyone, but to pray for the blessings of a true relationship.
- Reciting Surah Yaseen on Friday (Jumma) is considered even more effective.
Does dua alone fix everything?
No, prayer requires intention and action.
Allah helps those who make the effort themselves.
If you want to save a relationship, speak honestly, forgive, and keep trying.
Prayers are effective only when the heart is pure.
Identifying the Influence of Evil Eyes or Jinns in Love
Sometimes, obstacles in love are caused by evil eye or Jinns.
If a relationship repeatedly breaks down, or distances are growing unnecessarily, seek spiritual healing from an experienced Maulana.

Sometimes, simple prayers and recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah or Surah Yusuf can also provide relief.
Advice from Maulana
“A relationship that lasts is one that involves both the person and Allah. When a person prays within their own limits, Allah makes their path easier.”
